Thieves Steal Deceased Veterans Motorcycle

Denver Colorado: On Saturday July 18th, a brazen thief, or thieves stole a red Harley-Davidson right outside the restaurant where the widow and a group of friends where gathered to start a memorial ride for the deceased.  The bike, a 2004 HD Softail belonged to Dale Hatcher who died approx a year ago.

The group was meeting to scatter the deceased ashes during a memorial ride to Kenosha Pass.

"It was locked, and I don't know what they did, obviously they were professionals, they just got on it and took it away," Hatcher's wife, Melisa, told CBS Denver.

The stolen motorcycle is a red custom 2004 Harley Davidson Softtail with the license 658QYT. It has custom wheels a a purple horn on the front.

Melisa Hatcher says she is offering a $5,000 reward for the return of the bike in one piece. She's asking the thieves to leave it at the restaurant parking lot, right where they found it.
