Harley-Davidson Recalls Quarter Million Units for Brake Light Issue

Harley-Davidson is recalling over a quarter of a million CVO, Touring and Trike models manufactured from 2008, to 2010 for problems with the rear brake light switch. According to the official recall notice,  250,757 models were manufactured in a way in which the switch can be affected by heat from the exhaust causing it not to work or to activate when no brake has been applied.  The problem could also cause a brake fluid leak, affecting the brake’s performance, which could result in a crash.
