Harley-Davidson Recalls Street XG500, XG750 For Fuel Tank Problem

Harley-Davidson has notified the NHTSA, that it is voluntarily recalling certain 2015 Street model motorcycles for a defect in the fill neck on the fuel tanks.  According to the September 12, 2014, Service Bulletin, HD says the fuel neck may not allow the cap to seal the tank properly.  If that happens, a fuel leak could occur and in the presence of an ignition source may result in a fire resulting in injury or death.

Harley-Davidson will notify owners immediately and will perform needed repairs free of charge.
