Michelin North America, Inc. (Michelin) is recalling certain Pilot Power 3 replacement sport motorcycle tires, size 180/55ZR17 (73W), manufactured between April 17, 2016 and May 7, 2016. These tires are missing the required maximum load and corresponding inflation pressure information on the sidewall. As such, these tires fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 119, "New Pneumatic Tires-Other Than Passenger Cars." Harley Recalls 57,000 Motorcycles

Harley-Davidson Inc. motorcycle is preparing to recall about 57,138 Touring motorcycles because an oil line clamp may have been improperly installed. According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there have been numerous reports of the oil line detaching, spilling oil that could fall onto the rear tire and causing loss of control. Reports of at least three crashes resulting from oil line detachment have been reported, one resulting in minor injury. December 2016: Indian Motorcyclea has issued a recall for 23,766 Indian Chief Dark Horse, Classic, Vintage, Chieftain Dark Horse, Chieftain, Roadmaster and the newly launched model Springfield. manufactured between April 15, 2013 and July 15, 2016. The reason for the recall is a defect in the fuel rail system that possibly can come into contact with adjacent components due to vibrations and could possibly result in a fuel fire. Harley Recalls 185,000 Bikes Due to Faulty Saddlebags

Just in time to screw up the travel plans of riders heading to Sturgis, Harley-Davidson has issued a recall for more than 185,000 touring bikes that have a potential safety issue with the saddlebags.  According to the recall, the hardware holding the bags could come loose, allowing them to fall off the bike while in operation.  According to the documents submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the specific problem is that a spring wire in the saddlebag-mounting receptacle may not maintain adequate tension. Indian Motorcycle Company (Indian) is recalling certain model year 2015 Scout motorcycles manufactured May 12, 2014, to February 13, 2015. Due to a problem with the rear brake master cylinder, the motorcycles may have a reduction in, or a complete loss of, rear brake power.  According to documents filed with NHTSA, Indian Motorcycle Company believes that 2 to 4% of the vehicles in the field are affected by this issue.
