Harley Sues Affliction For Trademark Infringement

MILWAUKEE:  California based clothing company Affliction is in hot water with Harley-Davidson after selling what Harley says is clothing that too closely resembles the Bar and Shield trademark.  If the lawsuit is successful, Affliction would have to destroy existing products with infringing images; cover the cost of corrective advertising, pay Harley $2 million per trademark per type of product, pay Harley any profits it earned from infringing items, pay compensatory and punitive damages and pay Harley’s attorney fees. In a story that could've been written by the satire site The Onion, police say William Ethridge robbed West Star Federal Credit Union in Las Vegas Tuesday and got away with approximately $19,000. In the robbery, Ethridge took one of the tellers hostage and as he walking out of the credit union took a married couple hostage during a carjacking. Ethridge then forced the three hostages to drop him off at the Harley Davidson dealership at 5191 S. Harley Recalls 57,000 Motorcycles

Harley-Davidson Inc. motorcycle is preparing to recall about 57,138 Touring motorcycles because an oil line clamp may have been improperly installed. According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there have been numerous reports of the oil line detaching, spilling oil that could fall onto the rear tire and causing loss of control. Reports of at least three crashes resulting from oil line detachment have been reported, one resulting in minor injury.
