NBC’s Hoda Kotb pissed off a lot of leather-wearing motorcycle riding enthusiasts with an offhand comment about the time she and Kathie Lee Gifford went to a biker bar, called Alabama Jacks in 2013. “We dressed in leather, like a couple of losers really, like at the biker bar,” Kotb said. Alabama Jacks is located in Key Largo Florida and is a frequent hangout of locals and motorcycle riders.
Bikers took their anger to the Facebook page for the show writing, “Saw the comments made about dressing up like losers in leather and going to Alabama Jacks. You just lost a loser in leather for rating ladies…have fun in your plastic, fake Barbie world!” Another wrote, "I am seriously offended at Hoda's reference to dressing in leather and going to a biker bar as "dressing as losers". Obviously, she needs to get her head out of her dressing room and look at the facts. We are lawyers, doctors, secretaries, mechanics, military, police, college graduates, mothers, and fathers."

I am a 64 yrs. young woman that totally loves getting on a motorcycle, when oppurtunity presents itself, and go for a ride.It is so ex hilirating to feel the air in your face, and feeling of utter freedom it affords you is incredible!! It is very unfortunate to me that people who know nothing about it could be so judgemental. Not just very professional in my estimation. Bikers are the most kind hearetd giving, generous loving people you could have the honor of meeting.This is most assuredly a case of open mouth insert foot.
Where I come from you walk the talk …leathers n losers how about you making a jesture of good faith by donating your time physically for a good charity ride …. Then we might start believing you this is how WE mend a fence .

Bikers raise more money for charities in the United States than any one else does. I am a business owner and also proud to call myself a biker. I am a patch holder or an organization who does all charity work for the cancer foundation, heart association, breast cancer, toys for tots, homeless veterans and so on. Sorry your sad unfeeling pathetic little lives are so boring that you feel the need to bash good people. No wonder Cathy Lee husband cheated on her what a real piece of work and Hoda please spare me. Next time you talk about trashy people go to the mirror take a long good look at the reflection of trash looking at you. BUH BYE !
I wear leather for protection from the elements while riding , weather for one reason cause the sun does not always shine ,one other reason would be accidents happen , I’ve been in a few and I would rather have a hole in my leathers than lose six layers of skin !
